When will Jordan North start hosting Capital Radio's Breakfast show?

Capital Radio has confirmed Jordan North is the next host of its popular breakfast show after Roman Kemp revealed he would be stepping down at the start of the week.

North will join the Capital Breakfast team alongside fellow presenters Chris Stark and Sian Welby after a decade at BBC Radio 1.

He was welcomed onto the air by his fellow Capital hosts this morning as the news of his new role was revealed to listeners.

Addressing the announcement he said: "I am beyond excited to be joining Global and to wake up the nation every morning on Capital - I can't wait to start working with the amazing team here and get stuck in, to create the most fun and entertaining breakfast show. Getting to host Capital Breakfast has always been a dream of mine and it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I simply couldn’t turn down."

Before announcing his latest role, North had hosted the Radio 1 drivetime show since 2021.

When will Jordan North start hosting Capital Breakfast?

Capital Radio has confirmed that Jordan North will start his hosting duties on the breakfast show in April. However, an exact date is yet to be confirmed.

Roman Kemp has revealed his final show at the station will be March 28. Therefore, it's likely Capital listeners could hear Jordan North the following week as April kicks off.
