Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp surprised fans as he performed for the second night in a row with English guitarist Jeff Beck.

On Monday (30 May) Depp performed a range of songs with Beck at the Royal Albert Hall in London, just a day after he supported the guitarist in Sheffield.

It comes as he has just endured a six week long trial with ex-wife Amber Heard, with no deadline set for the jury.

How does Johnny Depp know Jeff Beck?

The two have a rather extensive history that dates back at least five years. It’s been reported that Beck said Depp is “someone who came knocking on my dressing room door about five years ago and we haven’t stopped laughing since”.

And the two also collaborated together in a music sense, too. Back in 2020 they collaborated on a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Isolation’; they released a recorded version of the track as a duo during lockdown.

What songs did they perform in London?

Depp joined Beck on stage for around 20 minutes, where they performed a series of songs together.

Together, they covered some of the world’s greatest hits, including ‘Little Wing’ by Jimi Hendrix, ‘What’s Going On’ by Marvin Gaye, and ‘The Death and Resurrection Show’ by Killing Joke.

Depp then joined Beck on stage again for the encore.

Will Depp perform at more shows with Beck?

With the conclusion of his trial now complete, it’s no secret that Depp will have more spare time on his hands, and it has been reported that he is set to accompany Beck on the rest of his UK tour dates.

He has also long been involved with rock music, and formed a band in 2012 named ‘Hollywood Vampires’ which is a trio made up of himself, Alice Cooper and Joe Smith, the lead guitarist of Aerosmith.

What are the rest of Beck’s UK tour dates?

Despite his UK leg of his tour underway, he still has multiple dates to play, with one of those dates being in London.

How do I get tickets?

With rumours swirling at the high possibility that Depp will indeed join Beck on stage for the rest of his tour, tickets are due to sell out faster.

For his London show, on Tuesday, 31 May, tickets are now not being sold online as the event is less than 24 hours away, but it is stated on the official Jeff Beck website, that tickets may be sold at the box office, so it is best to contact the Royal Albert Hall box office as soon as possible.
