Iceland to offer Londoners free iced treats as capital reaches 24C

Iceland is offering locals across the capital an iced treat this Friday as the city heats up. London is forecast to near the mid-twenties at the end of the working week.

Friday will see London reach 24C, with the weekend set to see temperatures rise to 26C. To keep Londoners cool, supermarket chain Iceland will be handing out an array of ice-cold offerings to locals for free.

Some of the treats Iceland will hand out include some familiar brands of ice cream and lollies, such as Mars, Wall’s, Rowntree’s, Haagen-Dazs, Tango, R White’s, Hubba Bubba, Magnum, Ferrero Rocher, Ben and Jerry’s, Solero, Cadbury and Cornetto.

Iceland will be handing out the free treats in six locations across the capital. As well as popular London spots such as Oxford Street, icy delights will also be handed out across some of the city’s beloved green spaces, including Hyde Park and Victoria Park.
