Latitude 2023 is set to kick off this weekend, and just a few hours from the capital, the Suffolk-based music and arts festival is not too much of a trek for Londoners.

While there are plenty of festivals happening across the capital this summer, many city dwellers will no doubt be travelling outside London for some of the UK’s biggest music events.

The four-day Latitude will kick off this Thursday (July 20) and wrap up over the weekend on Sunday (July 23). Big musical names, including the likes of Pulp and George Ezra, are just some of the acts set to perform at Latitude 2023.

For those who are yet to decide how they are travelling down to the event from the capital, there’s no need to worry. Festival goers can make their way by both train and coach.

We break down how Londoners will be able to get to the music festival from the city.

How to get to Latitude 2023 Festival from London via train

Londoners heading to the Suffolk-based festival will be able to travel to the music event by Greater Anglia train services from London Liverpool Street station. The nearest stop to the festival would be Halesworth.

However, festival-goers travelling from the capital will have to change to a different service at Ipswich station in order to get to Halesworth. The complete journey from London to Halesworth should take approximately two and a half hours in total.

From the station, shuttle bus services will be running across the festival weekend, that will take attendees to and from the event’s grounds. A full timetable is available here, which shows a single ride will cost £8, while a day pass is £10.

Those set on travelling by train should note that there are planned rail strikes this week. The strikes are scheduled to take place from Thursday and continue over the weekend and, therefore, may affect some services. Passengers are advised to check before travelling.

The journey from both Victoria coach station and Stratford is estimated to take around twohours, according to Rome2Rio.
