A new Hello Kitty pop up has opened in London hosted by coffee brand Grind. The two are joining forces in celebration of the feline character’s 50th anniversary.
While the collaboration may seem unlikely to some, both Hello Kitty and Grind were born in London and share a love of the rosy hue pink.

The merch line, which features a range of items, including a t-shirt with Hello Kitty holding a Grind coffee cup on it, will also be available at the event, and the first 500 customers will even be treated to a free Hello Kitty sticker pack.
Hello Kitty will also take over Grind’s other capital locations as the stores swap in themed takeaway cups over the next few weeks with staff also repping the collaboration’s t-shirt design.
The event isn’t the character’s only 50-year celebration in the capital this year. This Spring the Cute exhibition at Somerset House honoured Hello Kitty’s anniversary in its display and a themed cafe.
