With the evenings getting darker and the supermarkets becoming adorned with pumpkin displays and sweets, it can only mean one thing - Halloween.

The Horror Show!: A Twisted Tale of Modern Britain

Somerset House’s new show ‘The Horror Show!: A Twisted Tale of Modern Britain’, explores how horror has informed the last 50 years of creative rebellion.

The exhibition presents an alternative perspective on the last five decades of modern British history in three acts – Monster, Ghost and Witch and offers a heady ride through the disruption of 1970s punk to the revolutionary potential of modern witchcraft.

The landmark exhibition features over 200 artworks and culturally significant artefacts from some of our country’s most provocative artists including Noel Fielding, Juno Calypso and Leonora Carrington.

London Dungeon’s brand-new blood-curdling show called ’50 Berkeley Square’ is set in the attic of the most haunted house in London.

The show will uncover the many spine-chilling and unexplained happenings which have occurred at the property stretching back to the 1850s.

From the story of a young girl, trapped in the attic and murdered by her servant; to that of a heartbroken women who took her own life, and a scared-to-death sea Captain who thought to disprove the haunting myths.

It is said these poor souls still wander the halls of the haunted house.

No Escape are teaming up with the UK Haunters team to run Halloween special events across their four locations.

Choose from their seven different themed escape rooms in Oxford Street, Aldgate East, Brixton and Holloway.

You and your friends have an hour to either diffuse a chemical weapon before the whole of London turns into blood thirsty ghouls, free your boss from prison before the inmates turn into flesh eating zombies or outwit possessed dolls at a haunted toy store.

Each of the rooms will have at least one actor and creepy character throughout the game which you will need to interact with if you are brave enough.

There are clues to uncover, drinks to be gulped down, food to be devoured and games to be played.
