Greggs to open two London stores as part of chain’s 11 new locations

Greggs is set to open 11 new stores across the UK, including one in the London area. The capital is already home to almost 30 locations of the bakery chain, with the city set to welcome two more.

Known for its classic sausage rolls, Greggs already has over 2,000 stores across the UK. According to Scrape Hero, Greggs currently has 29 stores in London. This will rise to 31 after the city’s new additions.

Greggs’ new locations will include a few spots around London, including one in Canary Wharf as well as one within the London Gatwick Airport. As well as the capital, the chain will also open stores in other towns and cities across the UK.

The announcement comes as the bakery recently confirmed its latest addition to its vegan range. The Mexican chicken free bake was announced on Thursday (April 20) after the brand teased its arrival on Twitter.

The two new spots are set to open their doors next month (May) although an exact date is yet to be confirmed.
