The Great British Bake Off is set to return to Channel 4 next week and will feature a few Londoners competing. The 2023 lineup includes a couple of London locals among its 11 bakers.

Just a week until the beloved baking series is back on our screens, this year’s cast has finally been announced. The capital will be represented by two contestants during the 2023 series.

Over the series’ 14-season run, a few Londoners have managed to win the baking competition. Both 2016 and 2017 winners Candice Brown and Sophie Faldo hailed from the city.

Amos - North London

The 43-year-old deli and grocery manager who grew up in Nottingham now calls the capital home. His London home is actually a converted church with its traditional and modern blends said to reflect into his baking style.

Cristy - East London

When it comes to baking, cakes are the 33-year-old mum of four’s speciality.

As well as perfecting the look of the desert, Cristy explores new flavours inspired by her own Israeli heritage and her husband’s Jamaican background.
