In the 90-second video, the new game was shown to be set in Vice City, a Miami-inspired metropolis, which was visibly marked on road signs and even a Hollywood-style big-lettered display.
While the teaser showed no indication of London, fans have long hoped for a game set in the UK capital.

London is yet to be officially confirmed to feature in the new Grand Theft Auto VI game. However, fans in the world of gaming have long suspected it could appear if the project features multiple in-game cities.
In the past, it has been rumoured GTA 6 could allow players to venture out into as many as five different locations from its main city.
Last year, while talking about the possibility of multiple in-game cities in the sixth Grand Theft Auto to consumer lifestyle magazine T3, gaming industry insider Michael Pachter named London as one of the cities likely to feature. He said: "My understanding is that it is a mash-up of Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City and Europe. London, for sure."

Those eager to play a game similar to GTA set in the capital may be excited to hear there is one currently in development. Ends, which is currently in its crowdfunding stage, is set to be a "single-player gritty action-adventure" project as described on its Kickstarter page.
