Ghostbusters star Bill Murray has been spotted in London following reports a new Ghostbusters film is in production in the capital. A snap of the A-lister alongside a London cabbie has raised excitement levels on social media.
A picture of the 72-year-old actor, who played Dr Peter Venkman in the first two films in the 1980s, has gone viral on Instagram this week after the star posed with Wayne Dawe, who goes by @LondonsFinestDrive.

The post has almost 200 likes and Wayne wrote: "Look who interrupted my lunch."
In a further string of hashtags, he went on to tag some of the actor's most iconic movie roles, including the Ghostbusters franchise and Groundhog Day.
The star's appearance follows recent reports that filming for a new Ghostbusters film has started in London. Earlier this year, Murray was one of the original Ghostbusters slated to feature in an upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel based in London.
Murray previously appeared in the 2021 Ghostbusters: Afterlife film as he stepped into the shoes of Dr Peter Venkman once again. Last month, The Sun claimed the actor was expected to fly to London to reprise the role.
