Freddie Mercury exhibition London: Inside look at the collection ahead of opening

A look inside of the Sotheby’s London Freddie Mercury exhibition.

LondonWorld takes a look inside Sotheby’s new Freddie Mercury exhibition. The display centred around the late Queen frontman will open at the Bond Street venue on Friday (August 4).

It was announced that some of the Queen icon’s personal collection would go on display in the capital earlier this spring. The Freddie Mercury: A World of His Own exhibition based at Sotheby’s is set to include a series of immersive galleries that capture the different eras of his life.

From the singer’s iconic stage looks to items from his private life, the exhibition offers a look into Freddie Mercury’s personal world. Items from his former Garden Lodge residence will be on display as well as some of his memorable tour outfits.

The exhibition will stay open to London locals and visitors for just one month. It is set to close on September 5, which would have marked his 77th birthday.

We take an inside look at the new exhibition and show some of the Freddie Mercury iconic pieces that are set to go on display.
