An electric blue carpet is being rolled out as we speak, ready to make way for the movie’s stars including Chad Michael Murray (AHHHH!)
Sorry, I repeat, Chad Michael Murray is going to be in London tonight... this is NOT a drill.
Photos from the scene in Leicester Square show vibrant posters which nod to the original Disney movie.
An interactive luminous green billboard can be spotted outside the cinema with the tagline ‘This time it’s freakier’ written in pink bubble letters (very early 2000s.)
Cinema staff are busy setting up the red carpet area and premiere area for tonight’s event. The brightly coloured backdrops standing out against the dreary grey sky in London today.
Freakier Friday is the sequel to the beloved 2003 movie, which sees mother and daughter switch places to better understand each other.
The 2025 edition, which is released in UK cinemas on 8th August, takes the body switching fun to a new multi generational level.
The Freaky Friday sequel will premiere in London tonight on July 31st.
Like most premieres in the capital, the movie’s stars including Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are expected to walk the carpet from around 5.45pm.
We’re expecting lots of odes to the original movie from the stars. Fingers crossed for colourful highlights, grunge band tees and an appearance from hottie Mark Harman (not confirmed).
Lindsay Lohan has been spotted paying homage to some of her most iconic roles during the press tour including Hallie and Annie Parker.
*Freakier Friday will premiere in the heart of London’s theatre district at Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square tonight. The film will hit UK cinemas on 8th August 2025.
