Watch: We visited Freak Scene's Soho pop-up restaurant serving curried duck doughnut buns

The cult dining experience Freak Scene has returned to Soho as a pop-up concept in 100 Wardour Street this summer.

Running from July through to November 2025, the pop-up is located on the ground floor of the iconic Soho venue.

Chef Scott Hallsworth, the former Nobu head chef, is serving up rebellious pan-Asian flavours alongside new dishes developed especially for the London crowd.

Hallsworth said: “This is possibly the most exciting news I’ve been able to share since founding Freak Scene all those years ago. Not only are we heading back to our Soho roots, but we get to team up with the brilliant Evolv Collection at their iconic 100 Wardour Street. I can barely wait!”

The pop-up brings a menu that’s as unique as it is bold, from chilli crab wonton bombs to red curry duck doughnut buns, created with his signature mix of Japanese izakaya flair and Aussie edge.

And it’s all happening in 100 Wardour Street, a space buzzing with hip-hop, graffiti and that unmistakable Soho cool.

A lively Saturday brunch will also be part of the offering, a perfect way to kick off the weekend in the heart of the city.

The pop-up is the only exclusively Asian restaurant offering as part of the Evolv Collection’s portfolio of distinctive and innovative dining experiences.
