A stage show for John Cleese's classic Fawlty Towers is coming to London's West End. The adaptation of the beloved sitcom that is centred around the loveable hotel manager Basil Fawlty will open at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue this summer.

Having first hit our TV screens in 1975, while Fawlty Towers only aired for two seasons until 1979, it soon became a hit and is now a nostalgic watch for many.

Almost five decades later, the sitcom has been adapted for London's West End. The two-hour stage show will be based on some of the series' most popular episodes, including The Hotel Inspector, The Germans and Communication Problems.

The Fawlty Towers Play will open in London this summer in May. Previews for the show will start on May 4, while the show's premiere will be on May 15.

When do tickets for the London Fawlty Towers Play go on sale?

Tickets are not on sale just yet. However, theatre fans don't have to wait too long. Sales for the new West End show will start on February 7 at 10am and will be available via the Fawlty Towers show website.
