Comic Con fans are set to flock to London's ExCel this weekend for the annual three-day spring event in the capital. Whether it’s your first trip to the city or you have been to London before, we break down how you can get to the venue.

MCM Comic Con is set to take over the ExCel centre this week as pop culture, video game, and comic fans meet in one place. The three-day event will kick off on Friday (May 26) and wrap up this Sunday (May 28).

Navigating the city can be hard, especially if you're not too familiar with London's transport system. While many of the city's attractions are accessible via the underground, Comic Con attendees will have to switch from the tube to get to the ExCel centre.

The venue can still be accessed via London's railway services through both the DLR and Elizabeth line. Those unsure of what route to take can always plan their trek to the venue through the TFL Journey Planner or apps on their phone, such as Citymapper.

We break down how those heading to the MCM London Comic Con can get to the ExCel Centre via DLR and the Elizabeth Line.

How to get to ExCeL London via DLR

The ExCel Centre is near two DLR stations, Custom House and Prince Regent. Both stations are on either side of the venue, meaning you may want to consider which stop is closer to your desired entrance.

As explained on the ExCel website, Custom House is closer to the west entrance, while Prince Regent is best for those needing to go to the east entrance. The two stations are a nine-minute walk away from each other so it's not far to walk if you suddenly find out you need to go to the other entrance.

Custom House is also on the Elizabeth Line, meaning those needing to enter via the west entrance will have quick access. Alternatively, those who must go through the east entrance will have just over a 10 minute stroll.
