Coldplay London: Wembley's Oasis staircase turns yellow ahead of Coldplay’s residency

The Oasis staircase in Wembley has transformed ahead of Coldplay’s stadium residency.

It seems like the Oasis steps that appeared in Wembley for the brit pop group’s London Live 25 shows were not destined to Live Forever.

For Oasis’s London shows, Wembley Park’s Spanish Steps which connect Wembley Park Boulevard to the Stadium were decorated in the band’s honour.

Sandwiched between two portraits of Noel and Liam, some of Oasis’s biggest hits lined the staircase up to the venue.

However it appears the stairs have now been given a revamp ahead of Coldplay’s upcoming shows.

As part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour, Coldplay will perform six shows at Wembley Stadium in August followed by the final four in September.

Inspired by the band’s timeless track Yellow, the Wembley Stadium stairs have been taken over with the sunshine hue.

In recent years the staircase has become a landmark of sorts for music fans as different designs have been plastered across them to celebrate artists and groups performing shows at Wembley Stadium.

Previously known as the Swiftie steps during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows on the side of the staircase are also murals of other artists including Lana Del Ray and Hong Kong singer-songwriter Ian Chan.
