November 7 is set to be a big day for Christmas fans in the capital - here’s everything festive happening in London on the day.

London is set to get in the Christmas spirit this week as festive attractions open up across the capital.

Festive lights, Christmas window displays, and ice rinks will all start appearing around London from this week as the Xmas season lands in the city.

Thursday (November 7) in particular will see lights illuminate the West End thanks to Art of London and ice rinks appear at some familiar shopping destinations.

However, it’s worth noting there are Tube strikes planned on Thursday, with current plans indicating no underground services will be operating. So if you’re planning a trip, make sure you plan your route.

Here’s a round-up of everything Christmassy happening in London this Thursday.

Christmas lights switching on

The following festive lights will switch on on November 7: 

  • Regent Street
  • Carnaby Street
  • Leicester Square Christmas Market
  • Coventry Street
  • Cranbourn, Irving & Bear St
  • St Martin’s Lane
  • Piccadilly
  • Battersea Power Station

Hamleys’ 2024 Christmas window display is unveiled

The iconic London toy store will unveil its Christmas window display for the festive season. Last year’s window highlighted three trees all featuring different blue, red and yellow decorations.
