Wicked star Cynthia Erivo to appear on Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Date

Wicked star, Cynthia Erivo is temporarily hanging up her broom to appear on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date.

The hit YouTube series, sees celebrities go on a ‘date’ with host Amelia, in a London chicken shop.

The location often varies, and throughout its 10-year reign, the show has been filmed in several fast-food chains across the capital.

Stockwell born Cynthia, is one of the biggest names on the planet right now, thanks to her role as Elphaba in Wicked, where she starred alongside her new bestie Ariana Grande.

Despite now living across the pond in the US, Cynthia grew up right here in London, where she attended La Retraite Roman Catholic Girls’ School in Clapham Park.

A preview of the episode has been shared on social media. During the clip Amelia tries (and err, sorry babe fails) to copy Cynthia’s iconic riff from Defying Gravity.

Cynthia responded by showing off her impressive pipes while sitting down at the table.

Amelia shared the clip with a comment saying: “Hold space in your calendar for my date with Cynthia Erivo out on Friday.” Amelia added that Cynthia is her “dream karaoke partner.”

Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date is a hugely popular YouTube series.

The internet was brought to a standstill last year when Amelia hosted We Live In Time star Andrew Garfield on the show.

The pair’s on-screen chemistry was palpable and fans were sent into a spiral hoping they would go on a date IRL.
