Thousands of Londoners turned out to see London’s Carnaby Street lit up for the 2024 festive season

Christmas has officially landed here in London. The city is lit up with twinkling lights and festive window displays are appearing across the capital.

Yesterday (November 7th), saw several major streets across London lit up for the 2024 festive season.

Among those was Carnaby Street, which launched its latest Christmas light installation Into The Light.

Thousands of Londoners gathered to witness the unveiling of this year’s festive light display which includes six-metre-long sculptural light forms.

Carnaby Street is now bathed in a golden glow thanks to thousands of energy-efficient LEDs.

The switch-on was accompanied by live choir performances and hosted by CapitalXtra hosts Rob Bruce and Shayna Marie.

Oxford Street, Regent Street and the West End are also illuminated for Christmas and a number of other light switch ons are expected to take place over the coming days.

Yesterday, Hamleys unveiled its Christmas window display and Battersea ice skating rink opened to the public.

Christmas truly has landed in LDN!
