Butterfly Trail London: Tottenham Court Road's The Now building to increase showtimes in lead up to Christmas

Tottenham Court Road's immersive Butterfly trail experience is set to be shown every half an hour in the lead-up to Christmas.

Outernet's Now Building has confirmed it will increase the number of showings of the experience that takes over the venue's floor-to-ceiling ultra-HD screens as part of its Christmas schedule.

Announcing the news on Instagram stories, Outernet stated the Butterfly Trail would be played every 30 minutes due to "popular demand".

The display, which is a collaboration between Outernet and Pixel Artworks, allows visitors to interact with butterflies through their phone screens by scanning a QR code. 

The full times of when the Butterfly Trail will be shown at the Now building are available on the Outernet app, which can be downloaded from both the Apple and Google Play stores.

During the Butterfly Trail's run at the Now building over the year, it has been free to see from midday to 6pm. However, as listed on the Outernet app, the experience will be on much later this week. The last show times of the Butterfly Trial across the next few days are below: 

• Wednesday, December 20 - 11pm
• Thursday, December 21 - 11pm 
• Friday, December 22 - 11.45pm
• Saturday, December 23 - 11.45pm
• Sunday, December 24 - 10pm

A spokesperson for the Butterfly Trail has confirmed to LondonWorld that the experience will be open into the new year and is expected to run for the "foreseeable future." Visitors can check the latest timings on the Outernet app.
