Watch: Buckingham Palace guard takes a tumble while on duty

A visitor to Buckingham Palace captured an unlikely moment which saw a guard slip up mid-march.

Anthony Smith, 45, who was visiting Buckingham Palace as part of a weekend away in London, happened to be filming the iconic palace last Sunday (August 18) when an unexpected scene unfolded.

The video shows the moment the guard's foot slips from under him mid-march - and he lands on the floor.

Anthony, a radiographer, from Liverpool, said: "I was just filming randomly, and he just slipped right over. I had to watch the video back to believe it.

"People watching were shocked - everyone was saying 'did that just happen?'. The guard jumped back up quickly and recomposed himself, then he was straight back into action."
