I headed to BST Hyde Park’s Open House before the music festival’s final weekend and here’s my advice for everyone heading there over the next few days.

BST Hyde Park 2024 will come to an end this weekend following three weeks in the capital and here’s three things festival goers may want to know before heading to the final days of the event.

Over the past few weeks the music event has taken over the capital greenspace and welcomed some of the biggest names including SZA, Kings Of Leon, Morgan Wallen and Robbie Williams to its Great Oak Stage. It’s final three days will be headlined by Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue and Stray Kids

Between the event’s headline days the space opened up for the public to roam around for free as part of BST’s Open House series. The mid week event screened Wimbledon, had an open air cinema and even live music.

I headed down to the final Open House day on Thursday (July 11) to get a look at the site before its final three days and thought of a few things those heading to BST Hyde Park this weekend may find useful.

There is plastic flooring down but you may still get muddy

Following the recent bout of rain in the capital over the last week, BST Hyde Park has put down plastic flooring across the event site.

The protective layer has been placed in the areas that are likely to have the most traffic from festival goers as well as other spots where the ground has become softer due to the rain.

While there are plastic walkways, a lot of the site remains uncovered meaning you may still get muddy.

There are water stations around to fill your water bottle

BST Hyde Park festival goers will be able to bring in a refillable bottle with them to the event that they can fill up at a number of water stations across the site.

If you forgot to bring a bottle you can always ask for a cup at one of the event’s bars to keep filling up throughout the day instead.

Music fans can find the full locations of the filling up points on the BST Hyde Park app map.

The nearest Tube station to the main entrance is Marble Arch

The north entrance is the main access point for festival goers and is just a few minutes stroll from Marble Arch which is on the central line. You won't be able to miss the entry point thanks to its large scale blue arches.
