Celebrated US musician Billy Joel has been announced as a headliner for BST Hyde Park 2023 in London; his only European show to take place in the new year.

The announcement was made this morning through BST Hyde Park’s website, announcing the Piano Man’s appearance on the Great Oak Stage to celebrate 50 years in music.

In their statement regarding Billy Joel’s appearance at BST Hyde Park, organisers proclaimed that “Joel’s songs have acted as personal and cultural touchstones for millions of people across five decades.”

    It is the second announcement from BST Hyde Park organisers regarding their programming in 2023, having arranged Bruce Springsteen’s two sold out performances in July 2023 already.

    BST Hyde Park is a curation of musical events that take place in the Royal Park over the British summer time.

    The organisers look to create concert days featuring legendary headliners and support from today’s rising stars, plus great food and drink and hospitality packages.

    Sitting between BST Hyde Park’s weekend performances is their free midweek programme called Open House, featuring fantastic free activities and entertainment.

    Billy Joel will be making his only European appearance in 2023 at BST Hyde Park 2023 - taking place Friday July 7 2023.

    When are tickets on sale for BST Hyde Park 2023?

    American Express presale tickets will be available from 10am on September 29 2023 through Ticketmaster.

    Artist pre-sales and BST pre-sales will then begin from Monday October 3 2022, followed by Ticketmaster presales on October 4 2022 and then Live Nation pre-sales from October 5 2022.

    General admission tickets will then be available through Ticketmaster from Thursday October 6 2022.
