The festival will open with the premiere of Steve McQueen’s latest project, Blitz which stars Saoirse Ronan as she plays a mother in search for her missing son amidst the bombing attacks in the UK during the second world war.

This year’s film festival is in October. It will kick off on Wednesday October 9 and wrap up the following Sunday (October 12).

When do BFI Film Festival 2024 tickets go on sale?
General sale of BFI Film Festival 2023 tickets will start at 10am on September 17. However, there is a chance to get tickets before this.
If you are a BFI patron, you will be able to book tickets from September 9. BFI members will be able to get passes the following day (September 10).
How to get tickets for BFI Film Festival 2024
Film fans will be able to bag tickets to this year's event on the BFI website. There will be multiple screenings for many of the festival’s titles so there will be plenty of chances to see them if you miss out on the first showing.
