The Times and Sunday Times has released its annual guide of the best places to stay in the UK. The list, encompasses the best hotels, B&Bs, and inns across the country from The Highlands of Scotland to the Cornish coast.

Of course, the nation’s capital gets an honourable mention in the listing with more than 20 million people visiting London in 2023.

The Goring, a luxury hotel found in Belgravia has been named the London Hotel of the Year by the prestigious newspaper. The hotel has been run by the same family for more than a century and boasts a desirable Michelin-star dining room.

The hotel was named “one of the best in London” by Conde Nast Traveller and even has a resident Shetland pony named Teddy.

Found on a quiet, leafy street in Belgravia, The Goring is well located to enjoy a taste of London’s high life. The hotel is close to Buckingham Palace, Knightsbridge, and Mayfair, making it a great spot for exploring, going to the theatre and enjoying a slice of luxury London.

Of course, The Goring wasn’t the only London hotel to feature in the prestigious guide. Broadwick Soho was named ‘Disruptor of the Year,’ while The Beaumont in Mayfair was named ‘The One to Watch.’

Looking for something a bit further afield? The Stroud in Gloucestershire was named among the best in the UK. It’s ideal for Londoners looking for a countryside escape with regular trains running back and forth from Paddington Station.

House of Gods in Glasgow was also named one of Scotland’s best places to stay, later this year it is poised to open a London hotel in Canary Wharf. The Glasgow edition has been hailed one of the city’s ‘coolest hangout spots’, so we have high hopes for the London hotel due to open in Autumn 25.
