The Royal Albert Hall will showcase some of classical music’s biggest names as part of BBC Proms 2023 this summer. The venue is set to host more than 70 shows as part of the music festival.

Classical pianist Sir Stephen Hough as well as Manchester-based symphony orchestra The Hallé are just a few of the celebrated acts set to perform across the festival. Beethoven and Mozart’s timeless symphonies will also be performed, while the Horrible Histories’ Orrible Opera will take audiences on a musical journey back in time.

The Royal Albert Hall has been a longtime host of the Proms festivities, having first welcomed the event in 1941. 2023 will mark 82 years of the venue being at the heart of the music event.

This year’s event will feature a total of 71 events at the Royal Albert Hall. There will also be several Proms concerts held across the country as part of the festivities in the capital too.

When does BBC Proms 2023 start and finish?

The first night of BBC’s 2023 Proms is tonight, July 14. The classical music event will take over the Royal Albert Hall for over 70 events this summer. The last night of the BBC Proms 2023 is September 9.

How to get BBC Proms 2023 last-minute tickets for Royal Albert Hall shows

There are still limited tickets for the BBC Proms 2023 Royal Albert Hall shows across the festival’s run. Music fans can get tickets for shows at the venue on the Royal Albert Hall website.

Classical lovers will also be able to get tickets on the day of particular events. The venue reserves a select amount of ‘promming tickets’ that will be available on the day of each event.

As explained on the Royal Albert Hall site, around 1,000 standing passes, as well as limited Choir and Rear Rausing Circle seating, are reserved for on-the-day sales.

These tickets will be available from 10.30am on the day across most of the Prom dates. For Proms 3, 10, 11, 25, 29, 38, 54, 62 and 64, the tickets will be available the day before.
