One of the best aesthetic 10K runs that is on offer in the UK is back, as the Asics London 10K 2022 is edging ever closer.

Around 9,000 runners are set to run 10K, or 6.2 miles next Sunday, in a race that has rave reviews online.

Like most events, the 2020 Asics 10K was called off due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and instead was held virtually with 30-year-old Joseph Turner topping the leaderboard.

The race also varies in ability, with some top end athletes taking part, but is a chance for everyone of all ability to take part.

When is the Asics London 10K 2022?

The 10K run traditionally takes place in July, with the hope of having the race in good weather. This year is no different, and will take place on Sunday, 10 July 2022.

What is the route?

The route is one of the best in the country, allowing participants to run past iconic British landmarks such as the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and more.

On the official website, they say: “Thousands of runners will wind their way through Central London together. As well as seeing some of London’s top landmarks, you’ll also run past the True Geographical Centre of London, down closed Regent Street, the Strand and Embankment, and get the best view across the river of the London Eye.”

Can I still enter the Asics London 10K?

Yes, you can still enter the London 10K.

Tickets to enter the race cost £49 for a standard entry, and can be purchased from the official website.

What is the schedule of the day?

When running a marathon or a 10K, the timing of your run is not the only important timing of the day.

The schedule for the day is:

7:45am - Bag drop and helpdesk open

8:30am - Start open at St James’ Street & Piccadilly

9:30am - Asics London 10K starts

10am - First expected finisher - Whitehall

10:30am - Final runner crosses start line at Piccadilly

12pm - 10K last finisher expected

12:15pm - Race cut-off time

3pm - bag collection closes

Can I track runners on the app?

Yes. Some major marathons such as the Manchester marathon allow users supporting people in the race to track runners.

On the official website, they say: “Our app allows family, friends and fans to track runners taking part in the ASICS London 10k. Use it to explore the event, track runners and stay connected with the latest event updates.”

How do I check my results?

This year, results are precise thanks to the timing chip located in your race number.

After the race, the results will be posted on the LimeLight Sports website after the race.

If you entered a mobile number when you registered, you will also receive a text with your official race time when you finish.
