Dua Lipa
It would not be a surprise for English and Albanian singer songwriter Dua Lipa to be in line for a Grammy with her standout tune Dance the Night, which appeared on the Barbie movie soundtrack. The 28 year old’s mezzo-soprano vocal range and disco influenced production has already received numerous accolades throughout her career including six Brit Awards, three Grammy Awards, and two Guinness World Records. A new single, Houdini, has just been unveiled.
PinkPantheress
If you’ve indulged in TikTok, then you’ve probably come across PinkPatheress’s music. Even if TikTok isn’t your app of choice, you’ve most definitely heard the song Angel from the Barbie soundtrack. The 22 year old’s discography takes music samples from the 1990s and 2000s and spans genres, including bedroom pop, drum and bass, alt-pop, and 2-step garage.

Before rising to prominence as a solo artist, south London based songwriter Raye, was songwriting and producing for other well renowned artists such as Beyoncé, Little Mix, Rihanna, John Legend, David Guetta, and many more. Viral hit Escapism solidified her reputation, topping the charts in the UK and hitting the top 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Fred again…
London-born producer Fred again… has become an electronic sensation. His rise in popularity stemmed from Marea (we’ve lost dancing) and he closed Coachella 2022 alongside Skrillex and Four Tet to almost 100,000 fans. Despite never having been on tour before his sold-out Boiler Room set in July 2022, it quickly became one of YouTube’s most viewed perfomances. The talented multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and DJ was the youngest ever to win the producer award at the Brits in 2020.
Sam Smith
After widespread recognition from their 2012 contribution to Disclosure’s single Latch, Sam Smith has come a long way. Their track Unholy, with Kim Petras, topped the charts both in UK and US, as well as winning a Grammy last year, making Smith the first non-binary Grammy winner, and Petras the first trans Grammy winner. With their Gloria album that came out this January, it could be a big possibilty for this powerful vocalled artist to secure an award for Best Pop Vocal Album.
