ABBA Voyage London: I went to the third anniversary show and sat in the same row as Benny and Anni-Frid
ABBA Voyage celebrated its third anniversary last night, and Benny and Anni-Frid stopped by to see the revamped show.
It’s officially been three years since ABBA took over Stratford and last night’s anniversary show proved why it's been such a long running hit in London.
To celebrate three years of the revolutionary digitalised concert, we were invited down for a special commemorative evening.
Premiering not only new staging and a hit packed setlist it was a night I certainly won't forget.
While admittedly, last night was the first time I’ve been to the experience, what an introduction.
Seated in block H of the arena, little did I know that I was about to be sat on the same row as Abba’s Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
Just before the show started, cheers began to erupt across the arena and while I thought the show was starting I soon realized that it was Benny and Anni-Frid taking their seats.
As if sitting right by one half of Abba, or BA if you will, wasn’t enough excitement, the arena lights then dimmed and crowds once again began cheering as the show started.

The 1981 track The Visitors kicked off the concert as digital versions of the beloved band took to the stage.
Hits including SOS, Mamma Mia and Gimme Gimme Gimme soon followed with The Name of the Game, Super Trouper, Money, Money, Money and Take a Chance on Me also added to the revamped setlist.
Rounding off the concert the actual Benny and Anni-Frid were both handed a microphone as they thanked fans from their seats.
Reflecting on the show, Anni-Frid said: “The only thing I can say is that I love you very much and thank you for your support over the years. It's hard to imagine it's 50 years ago, I’m turning 80 this year.”
Abba fans wanting to catch the new version of the show, the experience is now taking bookings until January 2026. For information and best availability of tickets go to the Abba Voyage website.
