Anthony Joshua will make his return to the ring tonight as seeks his first win since 2020 as he takes on Jermaine Franklin in a heavyweight clash at the O2 Arena in London.

Joshua lost his WBA, WBO, IBF and WBO titles to Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium by a unanimous decision in September 2021 before losing the rematch by a split decision in Saudi Arabia last year.

His opponent’s last outing was against Dillian Whyte at Wembley, as he lost a majority decision at Wembley Arena in November.

When is it?

The heavyweight bout will be at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, April 1. Joshua has a 7-0 record at the venue and the Watford native will be keen to keep that unbeaten run alive.

The main undercard begins at 7pm but there will be other bouts starting from 4pm, with the ringwalks for the main event expected from 10pm onwards.

The fight will be shown exclusively on DAZN in the UK, with coverage beginning from 7pm. It costs £9.99 per month to subscribe to DAZN, and the fight can be streamed on DAZN.com or via the DAZN app.

What happened at the weigh in?

Joshua weighed in at the heaviest in his career at 255.25lbs (102.17kg) while Franklin came in at 234.75lbs (106.48kg), which was just under 10kg lighter than his weight for his bout with Whyte.
