Lee Valley Riding Centre launches BHS Pony Stars Junior Challenge Awards
Lee Valley Riding Centre is thrilled to announce the launch of the British Horse Society (BHS) Pony Stars Junior Challenge Awards, a fun, educational, and inspiring programme designed specifically for children under 12 years old.
As an official BHS Approved Centre, Lee Valley Riding Centre, managed by GLL, a charitable social enterprise and worker-owned cooperative, operating under the community-brand, Better, is proud to offer young equestrians the opportunity to develop their riding skills and deepen their knowledge of pony care and stable management.
The programme features over 100 engaging activities covering grooming, tack and much more – all while encouraging confidence and personal growth.
Each participant will receive their own "My Challenge Book", where they can track progress and celebrate milestones. Children will earn stickers, badges, and rosettes as they complete challenges within four themed groups, allowing for long term progression and continuous motivation.
Nicola Ward, General Manager at Lee Valley Riding Centre, said: “Whether your child is just starting out or already has experience in the saddle, Pony Stars offers a flexible, confidence building path where every child can shine at their own pace.”
