The Premier League once again returns this weekend with an elongated series of fixtures spanning into early next week. The fixtures include the latest home game for London club Fulham FC as they face Southampton at Craven Cottage on Saturday January 31 2022.
It was a good return from the World Cup for Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who once again scored in the Premier League as the Cottagers overcame London rivals Crystal Palace 3-0 at Selhurst Park. The scrappy affair also saw goals from Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Tim Ream, while Crystal Palace saw both Tyrick Mitchell and James Tomkins sent off.

Fulham vs Southampton has been selected for a 3pm kick-off time on Saturday and so it won’t be shown live on UK television. This is to comply with the ‘blackout’ regulation on televised coverage between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday.

Under the rules, broadcasting rights are restricted for clubs in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Not all is lost, though, as highlights will be available for Sky Sports subscribers on the Sky Sports app around 15-30 minutes after the final whistle.
The flagship BBC show Match of the Day will also show extensive highlights of the game along with all the other Friday and Saturday fixtures on BBC One on Saturday evening at 10pm, and then available on the BBC iPlayer.
