England return to World Cup action this evening against Senegal in the Round of 16. The Three Lions lock horns with Aliou Cissé’s side at Al Bayt Stadium knowing a win will take them into the Quarter Final.
Gareth Southgate’s men ended up winning their group after beating Wales 3-0 last time out courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford (x2) and Phil Foden. They won their opening game 6-2 against Iran before they were held 0-0 by USA.
England have a host of players from London clubs in their 26-man squad including Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, West Ham’s Declan Rice and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane. Southgate has a few big selection decisions to make ahead of tonight’s clash and it will be interesting to see if he freshens up his starting XI.
