West Ham are being linked with a move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic. The defender was mentioned as a potential target over the summer and has his name has emerged as a target once again.

David Moyes could see Milenkovic as someone to bolster his defensive department after his side’s difficult start to the season. He also needs a long-term replacement for Craig Dawson, who is out of contract at the end of the campaign and is currently due to become a free agent in June 2023.

Milenkovic, who is 6ft 5inc, has been on the books at Fiorentina since 2017 and has since been a key player for the Serie A team. He has made 188 appearances for the Italian outfit in all competitions and has chipped in with 16 goals from the past.

Prior to his switch to Stadio Artemio Franchi, he rose up through the youth ranks at Partizan. He broke into their first-team as a youngster and played 44 times before landing himself a move away.

West Ham have the opportunity to bring in some players this winter to ensure they don’t get dragged into any trouble. They are currently 16th in the table and are a point outside the bottom three.
