West Ham v Fulham team news with 5 outs and 5 doubts amid double talisman blow

Graham Potter faces London rivals Fulham in his first Premier League match in charge at West Ham.

It's two fixtures in less than a week for Graham Potter as he makes a busy start to life as West Ham manager following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui last week.

The former Brighton and Chelsea man saw his side lose 2-1 to Aston Villa on Friday night and now looks to bounce back with the visit of Fulham to the London Stadium on Tuesday evening. Five places and seven points separate the London rivals in the top flight.

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage in September, with Danny Ings grabbing a 95th minute equaliser for West Ham. Here's your latest team news.

West Ham team news

The headline injury news from West Ham this week comes in yet another blow to £27 million man Niclas Fullkrug. The former Borussia Dortmund striker has had a torrid time with fitness since his arrival at the London Stadium, managing just nine top flight appearances.

The German started Graham Potter's first match in charge against Aston Villa in the FA Cup but lasted just 15 minutes before limping off. A statement from the club website over the weekend said: "West Ham United can confirm striker Niclas Füllkrug sustained a hamstring injury in Friday’s FA Cup third round tie against Aston Villa. The German striker will be sidelined for a number of weeks."

Emerson and Jean-Clair Todibo have both been nursing knocks. After the Man City defeat, former Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui said: “We don’t know exactly [the nature of Todibo's injury]. We have to assess him tomorrow, but I am not very optimistic with him.

“We suffered an injury yesterday [with Emerson too in the last training session, that’s why he was not here.”

Jarrod Bowen has a fracture in his foot and isn't expected back until February with Michail Antonio out for a longer period of time following his car accident. Winger Crysencio Summerville also went off early against Aston Villa with a hamstring worry, but Potter believed that was not as serious as the one picked up by Fullkrug.

Outs - Niclas Fullkrug, Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio. Doubts - Jean-Clair Todibo, Emerson, Crysencio Summerville.

Fulham team news

Rodrigo Muniz was on target against Watford in the FA Cup but didn't appear after half-time, when he was seen holding his back. After the game, Marco Silva said: “Yes unfortunately he got a small issue close to half time. It was a great goal from him, a great finish. It wasn’t easy and the way he did it was a proper striker finish in that situation. It’s really difficult for the goalkeeper to stop it.

“Unfortunately he felt something in his back close to half time and it was impossible for him to continue in the second half. We have to assess him tomorrow and see how he’s going to be.”

In an update today, the Cottagers boss added: “Probably he's going to be ready. It was a small issue in his back, he felt really close to half-time, it was not possible for him to start at all. The day after he was feeling better, yesterday again some improvements. We’re positive.”

Sander Berge is still working his way back from an ankle injury picked up against Southampton in December but could return. Reiss Nelson is also recovering from a hamstring injury with a return pencilled in for the end of the month. Kenny Tete is a longer term lay-off in defence.

A club statement on Tete in December read: "Fulham will be without Kenny Tete for the foreseeable future, after the defender picked up a nasty injury in last week’s draw at Anfield.

"As the Dutchman was defending a Liverpool attack, Joe Gomez ran into him, which caused visible swelling and bruising to Tete's leg, and he limped off to be replaced by Timothy Castagne. And Marco Silva revealed the gutting news in Friday’s press conference that it will be months, not weeks, before we see Tete in action again."

Outs - Kenny Tete, Sander Berge. Doubts - Rodrigo Muniz, Reiss Nelson
