West Ham are set to play host to Leicester City in the last gameweek before the break for Fifa World Cup 2022. Since a very poor start, Leicester have been in good form recently and are slowly climbing up the table.

West Ham meanwhile are on a poor run of form. Their last Premier League game was a devastating loss to Crystal Palace at home, and they most recently lost to Championship side Blackburn Rovers on penalties.

It’s a major blow to the Hammers, who remain without a major trophy since winning the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1999. They’re still in the Europa Conference League, topping their group, and will give it their all in the FA Cup.

Meanwhile, Leicester cruised through in the Carabao Cup against Newport County 3-0. They have fared very well with winning trophies in recent years.

In 2021, they won the FA Cup, beating Chelsea in the final. And, in 2016, they did the unthinkable and won the Premier League despite almost being relegated the season before.

When does West Ham v Crystal Palace kick off?

West Ham United v Leicester City will kick off at 3pm on Saturday, November 12. The game will be played at the London Stadium.

West Ham United v Leicester City has been selected for a 3pm kick-off time on Saturday November 12 and so it won’t be shown live on UK television. This is to comply with the ‘blackout’ regulation on televised coverage between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday.

Under the rules, broadcasting rights are restricted for clubs in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Not all is lost, though, as highlights will be available for Sky Sports subscribers on the Sky Sports app around 15-30 minutes after the final whistle.

The blackout rule was introduced way back in the 1960s, and was brought in to boost crowd attendances around the country. There are currently no plans to get rid of the rule anytime soon.
