Which players have left West Ham in the summer transfer window?

Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko departed the club on a free transfer to Al-Ain, with his time at the London Stadium hampered by injury, with flashes of brilliance shown on occasion.

Attacking full back Ryan Fredericks saw his time in east London also come to an end, as he departed for newly promoted side Bournemouth. The former Fulham defender was a solid asset, and filled in when needed.

And lastly, club legend Mark Noble ended his long association with the club, as he retired at the end of the season. Born just a stone’s throw away from the club in Canning Town, Noble was with the Hammers for 18 years, and made 472 appearances for the club.

They made Alphonse Areola’s loan move last season a permanent switch, as he left one European capital city for another, joining from Paris Saint Germain for just over £8 million.

They also tightened their defence, signing Moroccan international Nayef Aguerd from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais for £31.5 million.

Boyhood fan Flynn Downes also joined the club. The versatile midfielder joined from Swansea for just shy of £10 million.

The last and latest signing was their marquee one, as Gianluca Scamacca left Italian outfit Sassuolo for a Premier League stint, joining for an initial £32 million, but the fee could rise to almost £40 million.
