West Ham star Mohammed Kudus on trademark celebration and fine form after Wolves win

Mohammed Kudus has scored in the last three games at the London Stadium.

Mohammed Kudus celebrates every goal by sitting on the advertising boards and that is becoming a regular, and welcome, sight for West Ham fans. Against Wolves, he grabbed his first brace since joining the club in the summer from Ajax.

Kudus has now scored five league goals and has crucially scored in his last three games at the London stadium going into the often demanding Christmas period for the Hammers who have the League Cup game in midweek against Liverpool before, league games against Manchester United and Arsenal.

Asked what the inspiration behind his celebration was, the Ghanaian West Ham star said after the game: “Obviously when you get to this level people try to read deeper meanings to things.

“(But) this doesn’t mean anything bro. I’m just taking a deep breath, it means nothing to me, I’m just sitting down to take a deep breath.

“Yeah, you know (from working hard in the game) that now a lot of people are trying to work out what that means but it's just me trying to take things easy even if it looks really cool now.”

Several top teams in Europe were interested in Kudus in the summer, and Chelsea agreed personal terms but were unwilling to go beyond the £30million they were offering Ajax, so what was their loss, in the end, turned up being West Ham's gain.

No West Ham player has scored more goals than the 23-year-old and Moyes admitted he was on fire after the win against Wolves. The West Ham boss said: " He (Kudus) and Bowen are on fire and I like the way he's come in and understood the way we play."

The Ghanaian's second goal on Sunday showed how clinical he can be in one-on-one situations and he's stepped in to lead the line in the absence of Michail Antonio.
