West Ham vs Southampton injury news as 3 ruled out and 3 doubts

West Ham are back in action on Saturday when they face relegated Southampton hoping to pick up a rare win. It has been an uncomfortable start for Graham Potter, who has failed to improve results since arriving to replace Julen Lopetegui.
On paper, this one should be a gimme, with the Saints bottom of the table, relegated, and yet to even surpass the lowest-ever Premier League points tally, needing two more points to surpass it. But on the flip side, Potter will know that big questions will be asked if his struggling side can’t come out of this one with a win. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both teams ahead of Saturday’s clash at the London Stadium.

Hide AdEbere Paul Onuachu - Doubt
Saints interim boss Simon Rusk has said: “Yeah, Paul picked up a knock, and he was struggling with his ankle. Unfortunately, we had to make an enforced change with that.” Onauchu will be assessed ahead of this one.
Albert Gronbaek Erlykke - Out
Juric said before his Southampton departure: “He had a problem with the tendons. For the medical staff, it is not enough not to train, but he refers that he has a lot of pain and this is the situation.”
Charlie Taylor - Doubt
Rusk has said of the left-back: “Charlie is knocking about with one or two issues, but other than that, we've got a fairly clean bill of health.”
Aaron Cresswell - Out
Cresswell looks like he will be out for a couple of weeks having missed out of late, but we haven’t had an update.

Hide AdCrysencio Summerville - Doubt
Summerville has been out for some time with a hamstring injury, and it was thought he would return in the near future, but with every week comes another ‘no’ from Potter, and it seems West Ham are taking no chances with the winger. We will get a further update this week, but West Ham have missed the winger, and they must strike the balance between getting him back and risking him despite having nothing to play for in the final games of the season.
Michail Antonio - Out
Antonio will be out long-term as he recovers from his car crash. He said in an interview: "I shattered my femur bone in four different places. I had one single keyhole surgery. They put a pole in my thigh with four bolts, so screws and bolts to knit it back together. My first surgeon said he didn't want me to put any weight on my leg for three months, which is around about now, and you can see that I am walking.
"We got a second specialist who said I needed to start putting weight on it, increasing from 10% up to 100% within three weeks. But I kept my crutches for a further two weeks. Overall, they say it will be between six to 12 months before my leg starts healing properly."
