West Ham should move immediately to snatch 'calculated and brave' Man Utd star on loan
West Ham should be considering a Premier League loan deal this month.
West Ham should be considering a move for a Premier League star who looks to be available on loan this month. The Hammers are in need of new recruits as they look to make make their survival battle a real battle.

The Iron are currently seven points from safety and not looking likely to catch Nottingham forest and Leeds United, who are realistically their only options.
That could change with a good run of form, though, and Nuno Espirito Santo will be holing on to that hope as he tries to convince his players and the fans. What’s missing are the tools to pull it off, with West Ham having one of the weaker squads in the Premier League. A couple of signings have been made this month, with Taty Castellanos and Pablo snapped up.
But more will be needed, and especially if Lucas Paquetá is sold, which looks likely. Paquetá is said to have demanded an exit after reaching an agreement with Flamengo to return to his home country, although the clubs remain apart on the fee.
That looks to be a transfer that will be done at some point, and West Ham are going to need to replace that ability, with more attacking flare needed. But not all creativity comes from the front line, with dynamic midfielders needed to set the tone, and that should lead West Ham to consider one signing in particular this month.
West Ham should consider Mainoo
One potential option for West Ham is Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who looks to be on the move this month. According to The Star, Mainoo could well seek a loan move this month, and Napoli are said to be the most likely suitors.
Mainoo has only made 12 Premier League appearances so far this season, and that has only included just over 200 Premier League minutes. Mainoo burst onto the scene under Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, but at just 20 years of age, he has had to be patient, coming in and out of the starting lineup.
The 10-time England international has previously been linked with the likes of Chelsea, and there is no doubting that he is still seen as a huge talent. He plays with a confidence far beyond his years and is a player who can get on the ball and drive a team forward with his ability on the ball.
West Ham need more of that, and Man Utd would surely love the idea of Mainoo getting the chance to develop in the Premier League, where they want him to thrive in the future. After all, Mainoo is a player the Red Devils want to keep, so Premier League experience will be seen as vital.
Mainoo praise
Back in his breakout season, in 2023, Mainoo received plenty of praise for his performances. Speaking to The Telegraph at the time,, former Man United captain Bryan Robson said: “He’s calculated and he’s reading the game, doing things in his own time.
“He closes down really well, receives the ball and changes the pattern of the game, quickens it up when he wants to and he’s using his football brain. I’m quite impressed with him.”
Another former Man Utd star in Dennis Irwin added at the same time: “He’s had a fantastic game Kobbie. Brave, good on the ball. It’s not just the assist, the defensive work as well. He’s got confidence, he looks a real top player. What I’ve seen from Mainoo, what the manager’s seen in training and matches, he must trust him.”
