Former Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is reportedly the subject of interest from West Ham United as Julen Lopetegui looks to strengthen his squad after an underwhelming start to the new season.ku
The Hammers sit 14th in the Premier League which has left Lopetegui under pressure as expectations were high heading into the campaign. Ex-Chelsea winger Pulisic could help to provide more attacking quality for West Ham who have scored just 13 goals in 11 games.

Hide AdPulisic, 26, is currently playing for AC Milan who he joined in 2023 after spending four years at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea. However, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, West Ham like Pulisic and could be in line to make a move for the US international. He signed for Milan for just £18.3m, but his price will likely be higher in January and beyond thanks to his good form at the San Siro. He has made 65 appearances in just over a year, scoring 22 goals and 16 assists.
West Ham face Premier League competition to sign Pulisic
The Hammers aren’t the only side keen on landing the 26-year-old as the report suggests that Liverpool and Manchester United are also both interested in Pulisic with Liverpool having been keen on him for a lengthy period of time.
A recent report by the Mirror has suggested that Inter are already keen on bringing Liverpool attacker Federico Chiesa back to Italy after he joined just in the summer. The Reds could decide to sign Pulisic in place of Chiesa who could reportedly leave for £17m.
Furthermore, new United manager Ruben Amorim will want to hit the ground running in January and bring in players to suit his game, Pulisic could be one such player. However, West Ham would be able to offer the winger more guaranteed game time due to the lesser competition in the squad as Pulisic would likely come in and have an easier route to starting on the wing, especially as reports have suggested that Mohammed Kudus could leave with Arsenal a potential destination.

Assuming that Kudus stays at the London Stadium, Pulisic would likely have to play his way into the starting XI as Julen Lopetegui would be reluctant to move away from both Kudus and Bowen on the two wings.
However, the USA international can also play down the middle as an attacking midfielder which would allow all three names to play in the West Ham attack which could prove to be dangerous for other teams. Seeing as Lopetegui’s side have struggled to score goals this season, he could decide to add Pulisic who has seven goals and five assists for Milan so far this year.
