West Ham have until the deadline on 1st September to bring in more players

West Ham are being linked with a swoop for Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial between now and the end of the transfer window. The Hammers are in the hunt for more additions as they look to further bolster their ranks.

According to talkSPORT, they are ‘eyeing’ a swoop for the France international. He is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford with his contract up next summer.

West Ham could see Martial as someone to inject more quality into their options in attack. David Moyes’ side drew 1-1 away at AFC Bournemouth this weekend to begin the new 2023/24 season with a point with winger Jarrod Bowen on the scoresheet.

Martial moved to England back in 2015 to join United and has since made 298 appearances for the North West club in all competitions, scoring 88 goals. He also had a loan spell away in Spain at Sevilla last year to get some game time under his belt.

He started his career at Lyon before switching to AS Monaco as a youngster. The Massy-born man went on to play 70 games during his time at Stade Louis-II and found the net on 15 occasions before the Red Devils came calling.

Martial would be an exciting addition if West Ham were able to lure him to the London Stadium in the near future. They are in need of some more bodies in their squad due to their upcoming European schedule.

The Hammers are back in action next Sunday at home to Chelsea. They then have a fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion before the end of August.
