Graham Potter is hoping to have two first term stars available again to take on AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

West Ham and AFC Bournemouth are looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend with the two sides meeting at the London Stadium off the back of disappointing midweek results.

The Hammers fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of struggling Wolves while the Cherries were undone by relegation-threatened Ipswich Town. Graham Potter is looking for a much needed morale boost ahead of making the tricky trip to Liverpool next weekend.

There is good news on the injury front for West Ham with one key attacking outlet and a member of the back four close to return.

West Ham were without centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo and winger Mohammed Kudus in the matchday squad for defeat to Wolves but Graham Potter is hoping to have both of those players back again for the meeting with AFC Bournemouth. The duo will need late fitness checks this week before their availability is given the green light.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Potter said: “J-C Todibo trained this morning and felt a lot better. We'll see how he reacts today - we've got another training session on Friday so there's a chance he'll be involved, which would be good for us.

"On Tuesday, he just felt worse and worse as the day went on. We thought that he might be able to help us off the bench, but he just started to feel worse so in the end he couldn't come on. In the end he was just too poorly to play.

"Mo has done very light training today, so again we'll see how he reacts to that, and whether he can go in on Friday. Again he's got a chance for the weekend. For him it's an overload in the hip area. It's not really an injury, more of a fatigue thing. He felt some discomfort earlier on in the week, which ruled him out. We felt it was just too soon after his international break to be involved. But it's calmed down a lot, and if he trains well on Friday. then we've got a chance."

Full-back Emerson did pick up a knock late on at Wolves from a tackle which the club are ‘checking over’. That’s ‘nothing too serious’ and the defender is expected to be available. Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville remain out as longer term absentees.

Doubts - Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez, Emerson. Outs - Michail Antonio, Crysencio Summerville.

Bournemouth forward Justin Kluivert was a doubt for the match against Ipswich Town having finished the FA Cup clash with Manchester City with ‘some issues’. Speaking after defeat to the Tractor Boys, Andoni Iraola was asked about the player’s availability for West Ham and said: “I don’t know. I think he has not an injury but probably an overload in his muscle. It’s true that we just have less than 60-something hours or something like this, so it’s going to be difficult I think.”

Julian Araujo is expected to return to the matchday squad to face West Ham. The player underwent surgery on his hamstring in November. Iraola said that ‘everything is looking good’ for his return this weekend. Meanwhile, Enes Unal, Marcus Tavernier and Luis Sinisterra remain sidelined through injury.

In other news, West Ham already have a plan to navigate reports of Saudi Arabia interest in Kudus with complications in the star’s release clause explained.
