West Ham have reportedly agreed a deal to sign in-demand striker Danny Ings from Aston Villa. The Hammers are close to luring the forward to the London Stadium to boost their attacking options ahead of the second-half of the season.

According to Sky Sports, David Moyes’ side are set to pay a fee in the region of £15million for his signature. The report adds that his arrival could see the club listen to offers for Michail Antonio.

Ings, 30, has been a wanted man this winter. The Sun claim Crystal Palace and Everton were ready to battle it out to land him. However, both sides will now have to look elsewhere for potential reinforcments between now and the end of the month.

West Ham have been struggling for goals and will hope the experienced Ings can help fire them up the league table. He has made 350 appearances in his career to date and has scored 122 goals.

Prior to his move to Villa Park in 2021, he previously had spells at Bournemouth, Burnley, Liverpool and Southampton. The England international is now poised for a new chapter of his career in London.

Elsewhere, former West Ham midfielder Jack Collison is the new manager of MLS Next Pro side Huntsville City. They are the reserve side for SC Nashville.
