'Request made' - West Ham could swoop for £30m Arsenal and Spurs target

West Ham could still make an audacious swoop for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa this summer despite having added Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Füllkrug to their attacking options already in the window.
Chiesa has emerged as a target for several Premier League clubs following a strong Serie A season last time out and his efforts for Italy at Euro 2024. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with a move for the star, who is in the final year of his contracts with the Italian giants.

Hide AdNow, FIFA and FA registered agent David Lavelle has given his insider information on the deal. Lavelle told Bianconera News, via West Ham News, that a Premier League switch is still 'definitely' a possibility for Chiesa but it likely won't be for Spurs or the Gunners.
Lavelle said: “He is a very, very good player. There is definitely a chance. I spoke to Cristiano. I think he could find a chance at a couple of Premier League clubs and I can say that we have some requests for a left winger from Fulham, who would be willing to pay, and from West Ham.
“But it is tough. It will be very tough to convince him… I mean, who among the big clubs has £35 million in the Premier League to buy him? It will be tough to sell him. Tottenham could be an option for Chiesa, but they have quite a few players in that position. However, I doubt they will pay £35 million.”

That fee may have looked more feasible for the Hammers a week ago, before splurging £25 million on Summerville and around £27 million on Füllkrug. With fees also splurged on Max Kilman and Luis Guilherme this summer, any further spending would likely need to be offset by sales.
