Brentford striker Ivan Toney became the latest player to join the Saudi Arabia movement. Despite rumours of interest from Chelsea, Toney has joined Al-Ahli, who chose him over Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen.
Brentford have pocketed £40million from the deal. Thomas Frank told the club website of Toney’s departure: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Ivan over the last four years.
“He has averaged more than one goal every two games, which is an unbelievable number. On the pitch, he has been a fantastic goalscorer, link-up player and leader. He has pushed the team, the squad and himself.”
Hammers sign Soler
West Ham beat the deadline to sign PSG midfielder Carlos Soler on loan, with the Spain international penning a deal that will keep him at the London Stadium for the duration of the season. There is no option to buy in the deal.

“I can’t wait to feel the support of the fans, who I have already heard so much about from conversations with people who know the Club, like my good friend Pablo Fornals. I am excited about meeting my new team-mates and giving my all for this Club in the best league in the world.”
West Ham strike trio of loan exit deals
West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse completed a late move to Nottingham Forest, joining the East Midlands club on a season-long loan deal. He said upon arrival, as detailed by the Forest club website: “I’m delighted to be here. When I knew I had the opportunity to join the Club and come and show what I can do, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity.
“Having played Nottingham Forest a few times, the atmosphere here is one of the best I’ve played in in the Premier League, so to now hopefully experience that week in, week out is something really special.”

Maxwel Cornet also departed to link up with newly promoted Southampton on a loan deal. Saints boss Russell Martin said: “Maxwel is a very dynamic player and he gives us another exciting dimension to the group. He’s someone who can be a real threat to the opposition on the pitch and I’m delighted the ownership group and board have been able to get another attacking option in for us. He’s really excited to be coming here and I think it’s a move that can bring out the best in him and work really well for both him and us.”
Edouard and Ahamada depart Palace on loan, Chalobah and Turner join
Leicester City managed to beat the deadline to land Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard, who was linked with a move away throughout the summer transfer window.
Speaking to Leicester’s club website, the striker said: “I can’t wait to get started. I’m really excited to be joining a team like Leicester City and to do what I can to help the team in the Premier League this season. There’s a fantastic squad here and I’m confident that the team has what it takes to be successful. I’ll be working hard to make sure I do everything I can to support my team and to show the fans what I can do on the pitch.”

Hide AdNaouirou Ahamada is another who left Palace, joining Stade Rennais F.C on a season-long loan deal.
Elsewhere, Palace managed to wrap up a season-long loan deal for Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner. The American has made 17 league appearances for Forest since joining from Arsenal in 2023.
With the help of a Premier League deal sheet, Palace were also able to snap up centre-back Trevoh Chalobah on an impressive-looking deal from Chelsea. The deal has not been officially confirmed at time of writing, but Fabrizio Romano and others claim the deal was wrapped up on time. Chalobah was a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans last season but was cast aside by Enzo Maresca.
Tottenham offload Lo Celso
Spurs spent largely spent deadline day trying to offload wanted players, of which Giovani Lo Celso was one. The attacking midfielder has returned to Spain to join Real Betis having previously spent time at Betis pre-Tottenham and then Villarreal on loan.

Fulham sell Stansfield
Fulham sold Jay Stansfield to Birmingham City days after the forward scored against the League One club in the Carabao Cup. There were links earlier in the window, but Stansfield appeared to be pushing for a spot in Marco Silva’s plans.
But Birmingham have paid an incredible £12million fee, which is unsurprisingly a League One record, to sign the striker, who told the Cottagers side upon his departure: “Hiya Fulham fans. I just want to say a massive thank you for the last five years that I’ve been at this amazing club. I’ve taken this choice and opportunity to go and play first team football, and taken this next challenge to be able to develop my career, not just as a player but as a person.
“I can’t thank the Club enough and all the fans, and everyone around the place, for the last five years and for making me into the person I am today. Fulham will always have a special place in my heart, as that’s where I’ve made my home for five years. All the achievements that I’ve made, playing in the Premier League and scoring my first senior goal for such a major club, I can’t thank the Fulham family enough for all the opportunities and the love they’ve given me. I wish you all the best for the future and hopefully we come across each other again soon.”

Fulham missed out on a deal for Ernest Nuamah from Lyon after the deal collapsed, but they managed to pivot to Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, landing the winger on a season-long loan deal.
Fulham owner Tony Kahn said of the move: “I'm very happy to welcome Reiss Nelson to Fulham Football Club! Reiss is a talented young player, and we're excited that he's joined the squad on loan! His arrival concludes a busy transfer window for the Club, and we're all looking forward to a great season ahead! Come on Fulham!”
