It's another move for the PSG striker who has struggled for opportunities in Paris.

West Ham have been delivered a transfer blow with news that Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike has agreed a deal to join German side Eintracht Frankfurt.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move on Deadline Day with the 21-year-old set to make the move on an initial loan move with a mandatory buy clause included in the deal. The agreed fee is €30 million as Ekitike makes his way to Germany to finalise the deal.

The Hammers had been linked with a move for the player as David Moyes seeks out more attacking options with Ekitike named as a target alongside the likes of Ibrahim Osman and Jack Clarke. The PSG forward is the closest thing to an out-and-out striker on the West Ham shopping list - although conflicting reports suggest the club was offered Ekitike's services but rejected PSG negotiations.

It is believed that the French giants had also contacted Manchester United to try and offload the forward, who has played just eight minutes of football this season at the Parc des Princes. The player is also said to be desperate to leave for more game time.

Eikitke initially moved to PSG on loan from Reims in the summer of 2022. He had previously rejected a move to the North East in the early days of Eddie Howe's tenure after Reims agreed a £33 million deal with Newcastle United.

Opening up on his transfer history, Ekitike said: “I had an appointment with Luis (Campos) which meant a lot for me. It was not so long ago. We talked a lot, he is someone I consider enormously. I wanted to come to PSG before this exchange but it convinced me even more.

“I don’t put aside everything Newcastle did to get me to come. If I had to go abroad, I would have gone there. But when PSG wants you and you’re French, you can’t refuse.”
