Manchester City's Kalvin Phillips has long been touted for an exit from the Etihad Stadium - as early as six months after his initial arrival at the club. He could finally be about to secure a move away from the Sky Blues, as West Ham United and Crystal Palace have been linked with him.

He could leave City in the form of a permanent transfer, although Pep Guardiola would rather move him away on a permanent basis, according to a report from Sky Sports. Should any team wish to take him on loan, they would be required to pay a £5 million loan fee.

'Several' clubs are believed to have approached City regarding a potential move for the former Leeds United man, but the report does not mention who these clubs are. Nevertheless, Palace and West Ham's interest in the player remain apparent.

Phillips has made just four appearances in the Premier League this season, all of which have come from the bench. He costed City a fee of £42 million when he joined the club - it would be very difficult for them to recoup even half of this amount given his current standing.

Who else is interested in a move for Manchester City's Kalvin Phillips?

The Eagles and the Irons aren't the only clubs who have been linked with Phillips in recent weeks. Newcastle United, Everton and Juventus are also believed to be in the mix for his signature.

Everton would struggle to conjure up the necessary funds to purchase him, given their ongoing financial woes - meanwhile, Juventus' interest is legitimate, but Phillips is not the Old Lady's first choice - they may only sign him as a last resort.

This leaves Newcastle, who would pose a credible threat to any attempt made by the two London clubs to snap him up. They are one of the richest clubs in the world - and they want to bolster their options in defensive midfield.
