Reports have suggested West Ham United could make a move for former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel to replace David Moyes as their new manager if the 50-year-old is sacked by Bayern Munich in the coming weeks.

Currently, Tuchel seems disgruntled at Munich, according to a report from TalkSPORT. Not only is he actively touting his services to other clubs, saying that he would like to take over at Barcelona upon Xavi's departure in the summer, FC Hollywood are experiencing a dismal run of form lately. They have lost their last two games in the Bundesliga - at the weekend, they were defeated by a score of 3-2 at the hands of relative minnows VfL Bochum.

Now, Bayern are eight points adrift of Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen from the top of the Bundesliga table. They have not failed to win the Bundesliga title since 2012 - it would be a massive watershed moment in German football if they do not capture its top domestic prize.

How does Thomas Tuchel's coaching style differ from David Moyes'?

Moyes' approach is rooted in old-school philosophies. He does not insist that his teams play out from the back - instead, he prefers his outfits to soak up pressure, before launching counter-attacks spearheaded by clever long balls.

While Tuchel is more defensively minded than a lot of other top managers, that is where the similarities between his and Moyes' styles end. During his time at Chelsea, he showed a propensity to play a narrow 5-2-2-1 system, with the two attacking midfielders looking to explore the half-spaces around the opposition's box.

This worked wonders for Kai Havertz and Mason Mount. Theoretically, it could also do the same for Jarrod Bowen and Mohamed Kudus, who are both no strangers to bursting into the penalty area to fashion chances for themselves and their teammates.
