A hilarious Instagram post shared by West Ham United superfan Danny Dyer has re-emerged online after Jarrod Bowen helped the club to Europa Conference League final victory on Wednesday night.

The Hammers forward scored the winner in the 2-1 triumph over Fiorentina in Prague, lifting the club's first European trophy since 1965 on a night that will go down in the London side's history books.

Bowen is famously dating Danny Dyer's daughter Dani Dyer, who rose to prominence on hit reality show Love Island in 2018.

The couple recently welcomed twins together and before kick-off in Prague, Dani shared an adorable message online wishing her partner good luck from herself and their two daughters Star and Summer.

Bowen's relationship with Dyer is no secret to West Ham fans, who have a chant dedicated to the pair in the style of Gala hit 'Freed from Desire'.

The chant references the fact that the player is 'on fire' and 'shagging Dani Dyer'. It's often heard from the London Stadium stands and even the squad was seen chanting it in the dressing room after winning the Europa Conference League semi-final against AZ Alkmaar last month.

Being a big West Ham fan, Dani's dad Danny is of course aware of the chant and spoke about it on The Jonathan Ross Show earlier this year.

The EastEnders actor said: "There is a chant, which I think is quite sweet... there's romance to it. When he scores, and he does score a lot, it goes like this, 'Bowen's on fire and he's s*****ing Dani Dyer'.

"I've been over there singing it, jumping around. Is that wrong? I think Dani was a little bit freaked out by it but I said there was something quite sweet about it."

West Ham fans loved the quote at the time and now, following last night's celebration, it's one of Danny Dyer's old Instagram posts that is catching their attention.

Back in April 2022, when Bowen was enjoying a rich vein of form, Dyer posted a photo of him online and wrote: "Jarrod Bowen is on fire... and he's... cuddling me daughter or something. So proud."

The post was re-shared online on Wednesday night and was seen by over 1.8 million people on Twitter.

Fans labelled Dyer's sense of humour as 'brilliant' and called the actor a 'national treasure'.

One user did add: "Why would you Tweet this, you’re basically acknowledging the whole thing. Best off just blocking it from your memory mate."

Another said: "He's being a good sport about it at least."
